EP Henry works to restore the Statue of Liberty
Since Superstorm Sandy, the Statue of Liberty has suffered serious damage and is in the process of being restored. EP Henry, a Woodbury, N.J.-based manufacturer of hardscaping products, was selected to provide the more than 50,000 square feet of paving stones for the walkways surrounding the statue and the park. Since Superstorm Sandy wreaked havoc on the East Coast last fall, the aftermath of the storm is still being felt. The Statue of Liberty is one such landmark that suffered serious damage and is in the process of being restored. During the storm, floodwaters destroyed walkways and buckled the visitor's pier at Ellis Island. Statue of Liberty Restoration
NCMA member EP Henry was selected to help with the $59 million restoration of the Statue of Liberty, which was damaged during Superstorm Sandy last fall. EP Henry has provided more than 225,000 pavers to replace 50,000 square feet of walkways surrounding the base of the statue. This project also happens to be the first customer of EP Henry's new Hardscaping Center at Roxbury, N.J., which opened in May 2013. Source: www.ncma.org
