EP Henry Announces HeroScaping™ Veterans Donation Program
Thursday, May 24, 2012
EP Henry, the oldest
family-owned and operated manufacturer of Hardscaping™
products in America, recently launched HeroScaping™, its Active Military
and Veterans Donation Program. For every submitted project
installed by an EP Henry contractor, the HeroScaping program will
make a donation in the name of the homeowner to one of three
military organizations.
An American company with a 100+ year history, only U.S.-made
products and three former company owners having served in the armed
forces, EP Henry launched HeroScaping to allow its customers to be
a part of the company's long tradition of giving back to those who
serve.
Once an EP Henry contractor installs a Hardscaping project, such
as a walkway, driveway, patio or fire pit, the customer can fill
out a form designating the organization to which they want EP Henry
to donate in their name. The choices in 2012 are:
- Fisher House
Foundation - Fisher House Foundation is best known for its
network of comfort homes built on the grounds of major military and
veterans affairs (VA) medical centers. The Foundation ensures
that families of service men and women wounded in Iraq or
Afghanistan are not burdened with unnecessary expenses during a
time of crisis.
- Infinite Hero Foundation
- Infinite Hero is dedicated to raising awareness and funds to meet
the needs of our military heroes and their families.
- National Military
Family Association - The National Military Family Association
offers uplifting programs to heal and strengthen families
struggling with wartime separations, wounds and loss.

"We have a patriotic company culture-with three former owners
having served in the armed forces-that makes supporting this cause
near and dear to our hearts," said EP Henry's fourth-generation
president and CEO, J.C. Henry. "Our goal in launching
HeroScaping is to allow our customers to share in our company's
long tradition of giving back to those who serve."
In addition to its HeroScaping program, several other projects
EP Henry has supported that recognize the service of active
military, veterans and first responders include:
9/11 Memorial & Monument of the Delaware
Valley-EP Henry donated 100 percent
of the Hardscaping materials used to construct a memorial in
Brooklawn, NJ for victims of 9/11, dedicated on September 11, 2011,
the tenth anniversary of the attacks. This project received
national recognition and EP Henry was honored with the President's
Volunteer Service Award.
"As Americans, we were all affected by 9/11 in a very personal
way," said Henry. "With such a strong military history in our
family and company, we were honored to participate and equally
excited that our employees embraced this project by donating their
time to ensure the memorial was constructed in time to commemorate
the anniversary."
Air
Advisors Memorial-EP Henry has
donated more than 2,500 square feet of pavers and Cast Veneer Stone
for the construction of a memorial in Fort Dix, NJ, honoring nine
members of the NATO Air Training Command who were killed in action
on April 27, 2011 while mentoring members of the Afghan Air
Force. Each of the nine soldiers trained at the Air Advisor
Academy. The memorial broke ground on April 9, 2012 and will
be dedicated on July 27, 2012.
Philadelphia 9/11
Memorial-EP Henry is a supporter of
the City of Philadelphia's first 9/11 memorial, slated to be
completed in 2012. The memorial will feature a half-size
replica of the Liberty Bell hung between two columns that represent
the former World Trade Center Twin Towers and will be placed on a
keystone-shaped paver stone base, for which EP Henry will donate
materials. Authentic artifacts from the sites of the World
Trade Center, Pentagon and Flight 93 attacks will be included in
the design of the memorial.
Outdoor Spring Spruce-Ups for Veterans-With the
help of its Authorized Contractors, EP Henry is providing
complementary "spring spruce-ups" for select members of the active
military and veterans. The initiative, which involves lawn
clean-up and landscaping, will begin in May 2012.
