EP Henry, a leading manufacturer of unit concrete products in North America, debuted The Statue Garden exhibit during the 2013 Philadelphia International Flower Show, the world’s oldest and largest indoor flower show.
Taking on the “Brilliant” theme of this year’s show, the EP Henry exhibit juxtaposes British characteristics of cautious restraint and droll humor in a proper English Statue Garden setting, complete with formal boxwood hedges bordered by flowering perennials, Old English stone walls, and a paved terrace with benches offering a peaceful place to rest. A pair of lion statues accents the stairway leading to the terrace while a Four Seasons statue collection contributes to the exhibit’s graceful beauty. Featured EP Henry products include DevonStone pavers and slabs in BlueStone, Cast Veneer Brick in Chestnut Hill, and Stacked Stone Wall in DevonBlend.
The garden house anchors the exhibit space and is home to the Four Seasons statue collection that guards the garden under a very watchful eye. Visitors should be prepared for a surprise performance that accompanies this year’s exhibit experience.
“EP Henry is privileged to once again be a sponsor, exhibitor and the official hardscaping supplier of this year’s Philadelphia International Flower Show,” said J.C. Henry III, CEO of EP Henry. “The Statue Garden exhibit is one of classic beauty and distinction, qualities that have characterized EP Henry products throughout our company’s 110 year history. We’re excited to introduce customers to our products, as well as to an element of surprise through our exhibit this year.”
The Statue Garden received several awards for the exhibit’s creativity, including the Special Achievement Award for a unique feature or design element, and the Special Achievement Award of the Garden Club Federation of Pennsylvania (awarded to an exhibit of unusual excellence).
Since 2001, EP Henry has participated as a sponsor of and exhibitor at the Philadelphia International Flower Show. The company also serves as the show’s Official Hardscaping Supplier, providing the pavers, garden and retaining walls, Cast Veneer Stone and Architectural Block used in many of the exhibits.
The 2013 Philadelphia International Flower Show runs from March 2-10 at the Pennsylvania Convention Center.
